Yaiza village is located close to La Geria, Lanzarote’s major wine production site. In almost all hotel and local restaurants in Yaiza, locally made wine constitutes an important part of the meal. When you are not sampling wine in the restaurants, Yaiza offers ample opportunity to tour the vineyards and cellars and to sample Lanzarote’s best vintages over tasting sessions.
The Playa Blanca resort nearby offers many grand and modest restaurants, bars and cafes. Playa Blanca dining features fine food, excellent service, and great ambience. There are several excellent seafood restaurants on the beach promenade, a varied international cuisine over excellent views of the Atlantic and Fuerteventura, being their highlights.
The resort of Puerto del Carmen is another lively resort around Yaiza, offering countless nice restaurants and bars, serving fresh seafood delicacies in traditional and experimental styles.
El Golfo, some 7km to the west of Yaiza, is a nice place with excellent seafood restaurants.
Nightlife in Yaiza is very low-key. Fortunately for the resorts of Playa Blanca and Pueto del Carmen, visitors will find no dearth of good nightclubs.
