Yaiza Attractions and Activities

Yaiza is a good base to visit Lanzarote’s astounding volcanic landscape. Located a few kilometers from Yaiza is the Timanfaya National Park, Spain’s most famous natural reserve that covers one-third of Lanzarote. Lanzarote’s volcanic landscape has been shaped by more than 300 volcanoes over 250 years. Although majority volcanoes are dormant today, the eerie and mystical volcanic mountains still dominate most of the island. When in Yaiza, you must pay a visit to these magnificent natural wonders. Sometimes camel rides are provided to explore the park. For many, this is an interesting experience.
