Weather in Venice is influenced by its location on the Adriatic coast. Venice witnesses hot sunny summers, pleasant spring and autumns, and cold winter. During July and August, the temperature goes up to 30°C, and the days become hot. But during these months, it is really enjoyable to have Gondola ride on the glittering surface of canals of Venice. During the late spring and autumn, the weather becomes incredibly romantic. But in winter, days remain crisp and cold with frequent fogs. Cold waves from the Alps make Venice to shiver in December and January.
Though it is recommended that one should visit Venice between May and June and September and October, tourists flock the city throughout the year. Acqua alta or the high tide often floods Venice for a few hours during November and December.
