Being the capital of Malta, Valleta is home to a number of travelers. There is no dearth of communication and transport links with the rest of the world. Internal transport is handled by cars, buses, boats. Being the capital, most of the bus routes and arterial roads meet in Valletta. Inside the city, there are many pedestrian zones and one-way streets. Though parking can be difficult, one can park his car in a large multi-storey car park in Floriana. One can take a bus to explore Valleta in its entirety. The main bus station near the front gate covers the island in a grid – spreading over in all directions. Then, there is ferry service, with a small ferry leaving from Sliema to take you across the majestic Marsamxett harbour and Manoel Island. Anybody visiting Valleta will find himself in a better position if he hires an audio guide, which is available in different languages from the Archeology Museum in Republic Street. There is also anoyher option to explore Valleta - horsecarts (Karozzin). But be prepared to bargain to avoid paying too much.
