Troodos Mountains Restaurants and dining

Although far less bustling than the beach resorts of Cyprus, Troodos has numerable pleasant restaurants and cafes. Troodos dining specialties feature beef, onion stew and oven-baked lamb, including a modest choice of European and Mediterranean dishes. There are scores of inexpensive taverns and local cafes serving quality Cypriot and Turkish delicacies, including cold beer and cocktails.

The sunny river banks and lanes of Kakopetria are dotted with a number of local and international eateries. The Platres resort too has few excellent hotel restaurants serving a vast array of international cuisines.

Troodos enjoys a low-key nightlife. If you want a taste of excitement and action-packed lifestyle, about 45 minutes from Troodos lies the coastal resorts of Cyprus. Popular resorts like Limassol, Paphos, Coral Bay and Ayia Napa, including others, feature a wide selection of restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes, clubs and local taverns.  Coastal Cyprus also has few quaint fishing villages that offer an impressive cluster of old-fashioned cafes and restaurants serving Cypriot favorites and local wine.
