Thulhagiri Island, located in the center of North Male Atoll, boasts a relaxing tropical climate, with hot sun shinning brightly throughout the year. The Indian Ocean has a great impact on the climate in Thulhagiri, which is affected by the two monsoon systems dominating the entire region. Thulhagiri experiences a dry as well as a wet season. November to April is the best time to visit Thulhagiri. In November, the weather is dry and sunny because of the advent of northeastern monsoon. Until April, there is hardly any change in the weather, with temperatures hovering around 30 degree Celsius and seven hours of sunshine daily. Winters see the advent of the driest weather in Thulhagiri, which is perfect for a lazy beach holiday. There is very little rain during January-March, and February, with 68-mm rainfall, is the driest month. During night, the temperature remains around 25-26 degree Celsius, which is ideal for al-fresco meals in the evening and moonlit stroll on the beach. With sea temperatures remaining around 28 degree Celsius during winters, Thulhagiri brims with water sports activities, including swimming, and boat trips. May is the rainiest month.
