Split Attractions and Activities

• Split is popular as UNESCO has listed it a world heritage site. Diocletian’s Palace is remarkable with caves and taverns that actually elevated the level of the palace. Peristyle is the central piazza, the square bustling with people, businesses, shops and restaurants.
• The cathedral of St Domnius has an imposing bell tower and the remains of the Bishop, Domnius is in the cathedral.
• The Statue of Gregory of Nin, a Croatian religious leader is a masterpiece by Ivan Mestrovic. The toe on the left foot is pure gold which people rub for luck and wealth, thus enjoying every moment during their holidays in Split
• There are many museums and galleries depicting excellent works from earlier ages. The Archaeological Museum depicts Roman glass, Greek pottery, stone fragments and an extensive collection of ancient coins.
• Bacvice is the most convenient sand beach in Split. It is a clean and lovely Blue Flag beach with some of the best cafes and taverns. Kasjuni and Bene are popular for their tranquillity and family atmosphere with tennis courts and pony rides. Beach lovers will also enjoy the coves of Brela, Zlatni Rat of the scenic Brac Island and the island of Solta.
• Enjoy cocktails at the promenade until late into the night or dance away at any of the nightclubs in Bacvice. Caffe Bar Fluid and Zbirac Picigin are some excellent places to hangout. There are many festivals from February to August and are fun seasons to plan Split holiday.
