Popular resorts like Limassol, Paphos, Coral Bay and Ayia Napa, including others, feature a wide selection of restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes, clubs and local taverns. Dining choices in Southern Cyprus include everything from traditional Cypriot meat, fish and rice preparations to Italian pizzas and pastas, Indian breads and curries, Chinese seafood platters, and European traveler’s diet. Beach resorts offer a number of waterfront taverns serving Turkish meze, kebabs, and fresh fish dishes, including plenty of bars and bistros serving English style sandwiches, salad, fried snacks, pies and pastries. You will also come across several Italian coffee shops and local and European confectionary stores.
Southern Cyprus has few small and traditional village towns. These villages offer an impressive cluster of old-fashioned cafes and restaurants serving Cypriot favorites and local wine. Several of the bigger towns, like Larnaca and Paphos, have numerous authentic food outlets. There are a couple of excellent take-away food-joints along the beach roads. Self-catering food plazas can also be found in the main shopping centres of the large towns.
