Selimiye has a Mediterranean weather with long hot summers and mild winters. Most of the rain in this are falls during the cold months of the year, more so in January and February. Though winters are wet, you also get at least four hours of sunshine every day even during this part of the year. Summers are hot, evenings can sometimes get a bit humid but it is breezy and pleasant most of the time. The peak of summer can have temperatures soaring up to 30C.
