Sartene Holidays

Sartene is a commune in the Corse-du-Sud department of France on the island of Corsica Sartene, fourth largest island in Mediterranean, is a few kilometers into the mountains in the south-west of Corsica and the south-east of Propriano. Its diverse landscape, beautiful sand beaches, dense forest of pine and chestnut and magnificent mountains make it very popular tourists’ destination.

One of the crucial incidents, which define the town’s history, is an attack by pirates from Algiers in the year 1583 which continued till the 18th century.  Sartene is famous for its exceptionally high quality wine, which is appreciated by the wine connoisseurs all across the globe.

Sartene is primarily centered on the Place de la Liberation, formerly known as ‘Place Porta;’ the town offers picturesque beauty of the valley, which is undoubtedly breathtaking.
