Rigomagno is located in the Sinalunga municipality in the Chianti region of Italy. It is a small village nestled in the South Chianti hills and is steeped in tradition. Rigomagno is a small village with less than 150 inhabitants and is a lovely place to plan your next trip. As it is located about 400 metres above sea level and is nestle in the hills, the view in and around Rigomagno is breathtaking. The beautiful scenery coupled with the small population makes Rigomagno a perfect destination for a romantic getaway or even a peaceful family holiday. Rigomagno is also just a short distance from the main road leading to either Rome or Florence. So if you are missing the big cities, you can always drive down to them anytime you want.
Rigomagno is situated in the Chianti hills and is surrounded by vineyards and groves of olive trees. It has a rather tragic history as in the 13th century the village was destroyed under orders of the rulers as the people of Rigomagno were thought to be traitors. The resilience of the Rigomagno people is evident in the fact that the village was rebuilt after a few years as an effort to prove their innocence. The village looks exactly as it was about 700 years ago. This is what makes Rigomagno such a charming place to visit.
