Although quieter than Tenerife’s southern resorts, Puerto de la Cruz enjoys an animated nightlife. A mix of lively and colorful clubs and bars set the mood for the night, and there are some that open only at midnight to allow all-night-party enthusiasts. Nightlife comes with a distinct local flavor and you can expect traditional music, dance and cultural shows to keep you entertained.
Puerto de la Cruz houses a fine selection of restaurants. You will get local Canarian dishes, as also stumble upon Spanish-tapas bars and Spanish restaurants that serve many mainland Spanish delicacies. There are a handful of excellent international restaurants as well, serving Asian and European cuisines.
There is little chance you will feel homesick during your stay in Puerto de la Cruz, but on a particularly evening when you crave good-old English food, drop by at any English-style pub or bar for snacks. Irish coffee, Italian ice-cream, German confections and French desserts are also available.
