From Puerto de la Cruz, less than half hours drive will take you to the Pico de Teide or Teide National Park. The spectacular volcanic mountain of Teide gives Puerto de la Cruz its natural backdrop. There are some very good nature paths and hike trails up the mountain, including cable car rides to the Mt. Teide’s peak.

Like the south coast, north Tenerife enjoys ample sunshine throughout summer and winter. The Playa Jardin is Puerto de la Cruz’s main beach and the primary attractant for those wishing many hours of sand and sun entertainment. Playa Jardin beach boasts the prestigious Blue Flag. The stretch of black sand sits against the backdrop of lush tropical gardens, a thriving beach promenade and volcanic terrain further inland. There are also several small rocky beaches around the resort. The beach promenade is lined with a series of excellent hotels, restaurants, bars and commercial areas.
