Accommodation in Polis varies from elegant hotels to humble mid-rise apartments. Everything from expensive and moderately priced cottages and villas to budget inns and apartments can be found here. Polis lodging facilities feature good restaurants and bars, swimming pools, spas, lounges, gardens, golf courses, tennis courts, etc. Although the least developed of Cyprus’s beach resorts, the town’s hospitality and rich cultural atmosphere more than compensates for any shortcomings.

Polis beaches benefit from fine golden sands and a line of shady palms that give its beaches a tropical charm. Water sports like windsurfing, waterskiing and sailing are very popular in Polis. Not far from the coastline are several deserted islands, so boat rides and day-excursions are especially exciting. Polis also has a dive centre offering diving courses. Even children as young as 8 years can take lessons.

Located close to Polis is Latchi, another very traditional Cypriot village. Latchi has a couple of nice beaches and offers several quality accommodations to suit all budget types. There are also few excellent waterfront bars and cafes with open terraces and sea view balconies, so you can enjoy refreshing drinks, light snacks and great company on a breezy evening.
 
Latchi has some of Cyprus’s best scuba-diving spots. The Mediterranean along the Akamas coast hides a wealth of marine life, sunken harbors and underwater caves. Besides diving, you can also enjoy catamaran rides from the Latchi harbor to the secluded coves of the Akamas Peninsula. Golfing at the Tsada Golf Club is also a wonderful way to spend a pleasant winter morning.
