Playa Jandia Attractions and Activities

The Playa Jandia has some of the best beaches in Fuerteventura. The local beach is a vast expanse of golden sand and is one of the longest of Fuerteventura beaches. The Playa Jandia also has its own naturist section, and some secluded spots are ideal for couples and family picnics.

A little away from Playa Jandia is the Playa del Matorral. This lighthouse does not only act as a warning to ships, but also divides the Jandian beaches into the north naturist and south social beaches.

On one side of Jandia is the Playa de Sotavento. This leeward beach experiences very strong winds and during high tide, reveals a very large ‘lake’ in the area. Home to the Reni Egli centre, it attracts a good number of wind and kite surfers.

The windward beach of Playa de Barlovento, and the Playa de Cofete, are less accessible beaches and the sea is rougher in these areas. Nevertheless, if you can make it to these beaches, there is nothing so peaceful and relaxing in Jandia.

Beyond Morro Jable harbor, a jeep is recommended for tour.
