The Playa del Ingles beach is a 1km stretch of pale golden sand, sandwiched between San Agustin and Maspalomas resorts. The three together, share an 8km long promenade on EU Blue Flag award winning beaches, and make up the lively southern coast of Gran Canaria. The Dunes of Maspalomas is the biggest attraction in Gran Canaria, the beaches behind the Dunes being exceedingly popular with nudists and gay sections. Maspalomas’ protected wildlife, secluded sun spots and camel rides are regular favorites with families.

Playa del Ingles is a highly developed resort with a range of accommodation and water sport options, shopping arcades, restaurants and bars. The Yumbo Centre’s 3-storey shopping centre is the hub of entertainment in Playa del Ingles. Yumbo Centre is for those who like busy bars, deafening music and a predominantly gay atmosphere, without much of Spanish culture. Complete with loud karaoke clubs, musical shows and gay bars, shops, and everything ‘non-Canarian’, the Yumbo Centre is the epicenter of all things brash and boisterous.

Around Playa del Ingles resort, car hire is the best and cheapest option, if you plan to use it a lot. There are also bus services available.
