There’s plenty of sun in Playa del Cura and very little crowd, so it is the ideal destination for a restful holiday. Most days you will be sitting under the sun or indulging in water sport activities, but if you check into a hotel with a nice swimming pool area and good entertainment options, you’ll enjoy a little more. Playa del Cura has a nice beach promenade, and there are a couple of upscale hotels with easy beach access and sun-bed facilities. There are also plenty of sun-loungers available; when you are not at the beach, you can also lie back on a lounger by the hotel pool.

Playa del Cura beach has volcanic sand. If you are expecting to plod across cushion soft sand in Playa del Cura, its stretch of black, stony and coarse sand will disappoint you. For that classic sand and sea fun, venture a little farther from Playa del Cura to Playa Amadores. Playa Amadores has a long stretch of golden sand bordering numerable luxury hotels with direct beach access, and several nice apartments located a few minutes away. If you are staying at a 4-star hotel, jet-skiing, parascending and scuba diving gear will be provided to you. Water sport gear can also be borrowed from the beach rental shops.

Located 6kms north of Playa del Cura is Playa Mogán or Puerto Mogán beach resort. Playa Mogán has a good choice of apartments, including a couple of luxury hotels. Accommodation ranges from full-board stays in expensive and moderately priced hotels to self-catering in quality apartments.
