Playa de las Americas, like the rest of Tenerife, enjoys lovely spring weather. Cloudless skies mean plenty of sunshine and average highs of 22C, which rise to 26C in the hottest months of June and July. An average of 25C runs through October, although mid-August and September may witness 28C. Playa de las Americas is hot, but not scorching. The heat is checked by the trade winds making the coastal climate a pleasant one. Summer days see 9 hours of hot sunshine and no rainfall.
