Playa de las Americas Holidays

Playa de las Americas is located in south-west Tenerife, along an originally black, volcanic coastline, now converted to a golden sandy beach to offset the modern purpose-built tourist resort.

Playa de las Americas sports an artificial beach. The original black beach with coarse volcanic sand now lies under a swath of pale-golden, fine Saharan sand. The beach is flanked by a busy promenade housing hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and every conceivable entertainment option for the 18 to 30 partygoer. The sunny coast entertains a large number of sunbathers throughout the day, but venture a little further from the main tourist area and you will find several nice coves and bays offering solitude.
