Playa Barca beach is located 4kms from the Costa Calma resort town in south Fuerteventura. To reach Playa Barca, visitors need fly to Fuerteventura first, and then take a bus or taxi to Costa Calma before arriving at Playa Barca.
The island of Fuerteventura is served by the FuerteventuraAirport, which handles charter flights to and from the island to most European countries and the neighboring Canary Islands. Fuerteventura receives holidaymakers from all parts of Europe, but Costa Calma sees a large concentration of German tourists, inclduing few English vacationers.
There are a couple of regular flights from London. The EasyJet flies from London-Stansted. Flights from London-Gatwick, London-Luton, and London-Stansted are serviced by the Thomas Cook Airlines and Thomson Airways. The Binter Canarias and Islas Airways serve flights between Fuerteventura, Las Palmas and Tenerife-North.
Costa Calma is located 80kms from airport. It takes approximately 2 hours to reach the resort by car, easily hired or rented from the airport. Bus services are also available.
