Playa de la Arena is a lot lively and vibrant compared to the neighboring resorts of Los Gigantes and Puerto de Santiago. The nightlife here can be anything you want it to be. A great many restaurants and bars stay open till late night, some transforming into late-night dance zones post midnight. Great dining experiences precede the action-packed nocturnal culture, and whether you are in a hotel restaurant or one by the seaside, expect to indulge in traditional, as well as international fare. From Canarian and Spanish delights to spicy Indian curries, tangy Chinese and Thai dishes, Italian pastas and pizzas, and English snacks, chips and sandwiches, you will find a dish to suit your taste and a place to serve your pocket.

Several nice traditional food joints can be found in the Puerto de Santiago old town area. Few excellent seafood restaurants can be found around the beach and marina at Los Gigantes.
