Holidays in Pissouri feature the modest and relaxed Pissouri beach resort. It is less developed compared to the other Cypriot beaches. The beach is dotted with waterfront taverns and has a fishing jetty. There are other smaller beaches clustered around the site of Aphrodite’s Rock. Pissouri beach holiday offers ample scope for water sports such as sailing, snorkeling, paragliding and windsurfing. Tourists can play golf at the Secret Valley Golf course as a change from water sports. The holiday activities may also include slow walks through Pissouri’s surrounding forests, vineyards and farmlands and exploration of the south coast.
Pissouri is linked to Paphos, 21 miles away, and Limassol a few kilometers to the east. A trip to Limassol and Paphos is called for as the places are cosmopolitan in character, and have a handful of popular beach resorts with a fair mixture of old fashioned shops, traditional taverns and a lively nightlife. From Pissouri, tourists can go to the Troodos Mountains and visit the villages of Omodhos and Kakopetria. The historic quarters of Nicosia are also highly recommended.
