The Phoenix Arts Museum, Hall of Flame Fire fighting Museum, Phoenix Museum of History, the Pueblo Grande Museum and Cultural Park are museums that are noteworthy. Exhibits at The Heard Museum include Navajo Hogan, The Barry Goldwater collection of Hopi Kachina dolls and Mareen Allen Nichols Collection of jewellery. Children enjoy a visit to the Zoo, Arizona Science Centre and Mystery Castle built of natural materials.

Phoenix represents basketball, football, hockey and baseball at the national level. Ice hockey, boat racing, auto racing, drag racing, road course and sprint car racing events are popular here.
