DAY 1 Reception at Havana and a stay at NH Parque Central or Hotel Sevilla on B&B basis.
DAY 2 - Havana
Breakfast is followed by a detailed guided tour of Havana. A visit to all the city’s important landmarks that include Cathedral Square and the celebrated Plaza de Armas. Old Havana beckons, and it's easy to absorb the ambience of its thin cobblestone streets, lined with buildings that showcase beautiful colonial architecture dating back four centuries.
We also visit the imposing Museum of the Revolution as well as see first hand the know-how behind Cuba’s renowned hand-made cigars, with a visit to a premier cigar factory. A stop at the famous Havana Club Rum factory to sample some excellent rums.
The popular El Patio restaurant invites you to enjoy lunch in its beautiful setting that overlooks historic Cathedral Square, just before moving on to Revolution Square with the mural of revolutionary icon Ernesto “Che” Guevara overlooking it. The tour ends for the day on famous “Malecon”, the seafront promenade.
Relax with a dip in the pool or a leisurely stroll around Old Havana!
Dinner at the El Aljibe restaurant that specialises in authentic Cuban cuisine. Post-dinner, a visit to the acclaimed Tropicana Cabaret can be arranged. Set under the starry night sky, it portrays the rich history of Cuban music and dance in a scintillating performance by over a 100 dancers, making it an inspiring experience.
Overnight stay at NH Parque Central or Hotel Sevilla on B&B basis.
DAY 3 - Havana – Indian village at Guama - Cienfuegos
Post-breakfast, we drive to Finca Vigia which is outside Havana and was once the abode of Ernest Hemingway, untouched to this day.
We continue east towards Cienfuegos, moving along the sugar plantations. A stopover at Guama, from where we go by boat through mangrove swamps to an imitation Taino Indian village at the edge of Treasure Lake.
After a simple lunch at a local restaurant we continue to Cienfuegos, adorned with palaces and stately mansions with great bay views. Check in at Jagua hotel followed by dinner.
DAY 4 - Cienfuegos – to Trinidad – back to Cienfuegos
The early breakfast is followed by a short tour of Cienfuegos and a stroll through this pleasant colonial city.
We continue to Trinidad, one of the world’s most beautifully preserved colonial cities and a UNESCO heritage site.
A walk in this balmy and cheerful city is a great way to explore it. Includes a visit to its Romantic Museum, showcasing the lifestyle and superb architectural design of its past. Casa de la Trova features excellent traditional Cuban music. We also visit La Canchanchara, an 18th Century house where guests sample inimitable Trinidad style rum cocktail. Lunch at Grand Hotel.
Dinner at the beautiful Palacio Del Valle restaurant with a great view of Cienfuegos bay.
DAY 5 - Santa Clara - onto Sierra Del Rosario – stay at Hotel Moka
Post- breakfast we move on towards Santa Clara, where people come from all over to the famous “Che” Guevara memorial and museum devoted to his exceptional life. An introductory tour of Santa Clara follows, one of the highlights of which is the famous “Tren Blindado” train that was assaulted in the critical stages of the great Cuban Revolution.
Post-lunch in a neighbouring hotel, we move on to the excellent Moka hotel, which is situated deep within the beautiful Sierra Del Rosario Reserve. Enjoy dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and soak in the surrounding natural ambience.
DAY 6 - Full day at stunning Cayo Levisa
Relax and explore a pristine and stunning island at Cayo Levisa.
Upon reaching the island by boat, relax and enjoy a memorable day at its gorgeous and pristine beach. Bask in the sun as you enjoy the amazingly clear waters. The small hotel on the island offers drinks and lunch.
We return to Moka hotel in the afternoon by boat. Where dinner in a local farmer’s restaurant in quiet rustic settings on a terrace makes for a great experience!
DAY 7 - Full day Vinales Valley
A drive through the renowned Vinales Valley, with stops at some stunning places. Followed by an exciting subterranean journey by boat through the limestone El Indio caves. Countryside locales and great lunch at the excellent Ranchón San Vicente restaurant.
We return to Moka Hotel in the late afternoon, followed by dinner at Cuba’s one and only organic vegetarian cuisine restaurant that features locally grown ingredients from within the Las Terrazas community. It is, according to some previous visitors the finest Cuban restaurant and a great way to end a hectic day
DAY 8 - Return to stylish Havana
Guests love relaxing in the pool after the leisurely breakfast or just strolling through the authentic local village. Locally produced cake and coffee may be purchased from a shop that overlooks the village.
Post-lunch, we take a short drive back to Havana or superb Varadero.
