Not your quintessential resort town, dining in Nuweiba is all about simplicity, quality and taste. Nuweiba specialties are fresh seafood…lobsters, shrimps, oysters, calamari and crabs, often served with steaming fried rice or fresh baked pitta bread, grilled kebabs and kuftas. Most Nuweiba camps and hotel restaurants also provide a traveler’s diet of pancakes, pizzas, pastas, and burgers.
The most famous Egyptian cuisine restaurant in Nuweiba is the small but delightful, Dr. Shishkebab. A large and excellent kebab menu on offer, Dr. Shishkebab’s authentic Egyptian meat preparations makes it the best in Nuweiba. For a taste of the Orient, the Han Kan’s traditional Chinese and Korean dishes, including delicacies like dried beans, tamiya or felafel, and foul cooked in olive oil, deserves special mention. Habiba’s Open Buffet by the sea and Habiba Mataamak’s a la carte dining are also highly recommended for wonderful Egyptian and Oriental seafood. Alcohol is available in licensed shops and in most hotel restaurants in Nuweiba.
Nuweiba’s nightlife is dull and there aren’t many bars around this place. The Little Prince Coffee Shop however, is nice for a delicious cup of Turkish coffee or tea, and glass of fresh juice.
