Nuweiba is divided into 3 main sections:
Nuweiba Tarabin – This is the northern part of Nuweiba. The beach here is lined with thick palm groves and overlooks a shallow bay. The bay houses the ruins of a Turkish fort, which is an exciting landmark for those interested in short explorations. Along the beach, there are also several restaurants with al fresco dining facilities, typically decorated in rich Bedouin style with intricately designed carpets and colorful cushions. The cluster of bazaars gives Tarabin a kind of vibrancy that is infectious and delightful.
Nuweiba Town – Originally the tribal boundary between the south Muzeina and north Tarabin tribes, Nuweiba town today serves as a stopover destination for safari tours to the Dunes in the south and Tarabin beaches in the north. Although small, the town is lively with several bazaars and shops and few good supermarkets, and a number of reasonably prices accommodations.
The Dunes – This area connects Nuweiba town to Nuweiba Muzeina (or the Port; Nuweiba’s industrial area). Characterized by sandy beaches and magnificent coral belts, the Dunes serve a conglomerate of campsites and hotels along the beach, especially in the Small Duna area. The Duna area in comparison, offers inexpensive, comfort accommodation and simple restaurants along some of the most romantic, secluded beach areas.
