Osaka – Japan
No it’s not Tokyo, but Osaka for the real taste of Japan and that too for cheap. Do taste the deadly Japanese blowfish fugu which is usually served as sashimi fillets, takoyaki which is balls of battered octopus served in bowls of balsa in a hot sauce garnished with dried bonito tuna, and kushi-katsu – meat, vegetables, seafood or fish coated in a sweet crispy batter and deep fried on wooden skewers. The food joint Kuidaore is another place offering Japanese gastronomic delights across its eight floors. And if you’re still not convinced enough, the fact that Osaka is a favourite of American celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain will help you to!
