New Hampshire Holidays

Break away from the everyday grind and escape to the exotic state of New Hampshire for a perfect family holiday! New Hampshire is located in the charming New England region, encompassing varied landscapes of rugged mountains, glorious lakes, white beaches, lush green meadows, winding country roads and covered bridges. Named for Hampshire in England, and known as the Granite State, New Hampshire offers a wealth of outdoor activities amidst rugged beauty and natural charm, promising year-round fun for the whole family.

New Hampshire is made up of seven very different regions- The Seacoast, Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee, Lakes Region, Merrimack Valley, Monadnock Region, White Mountains and Great North Woods, each filled with natural beauty, cultural events and classic New England living. The beautiful Lakes Region in the middle of the state is a favorite site for water sports all year round and the vast White Mountains offer both skiing during winters and hiking during summers. Resorts such as Hampton Beach are ideal for a beach holiday, boasting family entertainment such as sand-sculpting competitions and open-air concerts. Experience spectacular scenic state parks, mountains, lakes and waterfalls in the state and make the most of them by walking, hiking, cycling, climbing, fishing or bird-watching. New Hampshire also has picturesque towns perfect for strolling round, such as the capital, Concord, with its attractive main street, lined with galleries, boutiques and restaurants. Avid shoppers will have a gala time here since shopping is tax-free throughout the state and there are several attractive bargains on offer round the year.

Tipping is more or less customary in New Hampshire. In restaurants, you can tip the waiters around 10% to 20% while taxi drivers, porters and bellboys can be tipped around USD 1.00 or USD 2.00 per piece of luggage. You are not expected to tip in fast-food restaurants or cinema halls.
