Montale is a beautiful Tuscan gem and a perfect location for rest and solitude. In the early centuries, Montale was a fortified centre built by the town of Pistoia and later on, the Florentines pulled down these walls. Post the Second World War; the textile sector rebuilt the economy of the town. Typical of the Tuscan countryside, it offers rustic farmhouses and luxury apartments. Being a rich agricultural region, it offers plenty of farm produce from its wines to fruity extra virgin olive oil. Montale is an ideal place for those leisurely strolls, bike rides and horse riding.
