Meloneras Attractions and Activities

The lovely beach of Maspalomas is backed by 6 spectacular sand dunes, some reaching almost 10 meters high. The beaches behind the Dunes are Gran Canaria’s official nudist beaches and ideal if you like skinny-dipping and acquiring a full tan. Part beaches in the region are also exclusively for the gay sections. The Dunes of Maspalomas can be crossed on foot, or on camel back, and is an experience in itself.

When in Meloneras, you should visit the historic capital of Las Palmas, or take jeep safaris to the island’s interiors, across its verdant northern valleys and volcanic mountains. The Campo de Golf resort at Maspalomas, the Playa del Ingles’ Yumbo Centre, including the golden sandy beaches of San Agustin, Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles, are also exciting options.
