Majorca Restaurants and dining

According to the Majorcan Tourist Board’s report of 2005, Majorca had over 2,400 restaurants on the island. Today, the number has grown manifold, offering visitors countless dining outlets and cuisine choices. From full-scale restaurants to small bars, food stalls to plazas, and humble traditional eateries, you have everything you desire in Majorca.

Majorca cuisine specialties include seafood, although most of it is imported despite Majorca being in the Mediterranean. Almonds and olives feature as the two main ingredients in Majorcan food. The traditional saffron rice mixed with vegetables, pork and chicken (sobrassada arros brut) and the sweet pastry (ensaimada) are not to be missed Majorcan delicacies.

Majorcan nightlife is fun and there are plenty of clubs and discos to be found on the island. Paseo Maritimo in the capital Palma is the venue of most of the island’s nightlife. Urban areas like Alcudia, Llucmajor, Pollença, and Magaluff also have good nightlife options.
