Tourism is not primary in La Gomera, a fact that makes it unbelievably popular with visitors seeking a bit of calm, just the right amount of fun, and quality time with self. If you are well into adventure and the prospect of calm seaside evenings does little to deter you, La Gomera is possibly the best place to spend a couple of days.  

La Gomera is divided into 6 municipalities: Agulo, Alajeró, San Sebastián de la Gomera, Hermigua, Valle Gran Rey, and Vallehermoso, which have few very good hotels. The majority of accommodations are concentrated in San Sebastian (La Gomera capital), and the Playa Santiago village in the south of the island.
