Kyrenia Attractions and Activities

Kyrenia is blessed with year-round warm sunshine. It has well-equipped beaches with nice sunbathing spots and water sport facilities for water and jet-skiing, parascending, windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving, etc. Beaches such as Acapulco, Escape, Alagadi Turtle and Altinkaya are ideally suited to families, couples and groups of vacationers. A wide choice of luxury and budget accommodations, including restaurants, bars, clubs and cafes draws a large 18-30 tourist crowd every year.

Kyrenia is surrounded by cultural and natural sites. A day-trip to the St Hilarion Castle, Bellapais and Sourpmager Monasteries, and the ruins of Famagusta is recommended. Nature hikes up the Five Finger Mountains is great if you fancy adventure.
