Ireland Getting there and around

Bus & tram: Bus Eireann is the local bus service and connects all the major locations of the south. The larger bus companies carry bikes as well though clarify well in advance to avoid any discomfort. Buses are cheaper then trains and the private buses cost a little lesser than the government ones.

Car and Motorcycle: One can find Rental cars but they are expensive. Also with the scarcity of sign posts, travelling by road in Ireland will not be easy so buy a map before you venture out. Be sure to check Collision Damage Waver(CDW), Insurance and VAT besides unlimited mileage. However Bikes are available for hiring.

Train: Slightly more expensive than the buses, a midweek return ticket is the most economical solution for travelling by trains during Ireland holidays. The prices are incremented by different classes and carry a difference of around 5 to 10 Euros.
