Hurghada Attractions and Activities

The city of Hurghada is divided into 3 main areas:
The Sheraton Road or El Sakala Center is the hub of tourists in Hurghada town. Busy and flanked by Egyptian bazaars, supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, and nightclubs, it also opens to the Hurghada Marina on the sea-side end, giving way to the 5km long Promenade on the El Memsha or Village Road. The second most famous tourist area in Hurghada, the Promenade consist mainly 4-star hotels and famous nightclubs like Little Buddha and Hard Rock Cafe, shopping centers like Kottas Mall and Esplanada Mall, and several upscale restaurants. New Hurghada and the Promenade are also relatively peaceful and less harassment for first time visitors. El Dahar is Hurghada’s old city area. For an authentic Egyptian experience, El Dahar’s neighborhoods, their rustic lanes and by lanes and markets full of perfume and oils, spices, copperware, alabaster, shisha and papyrus, is the perfect choice.
Hurghada is Egypt’s busiest beach resort. Hurghada beaches offer visitors everything that travel brochures promise: sun-drenched islands, warm waters and soft sands, a volley of water and land activities, luxury accommodation and international amenities, fantastic restaurants and authentic cuisine, and throbbing nightlife. If you are expecting nothing more than a classic beach holiday, Hurghada is an inexpensive and wise choice.
