Huatulco Attractions and Activities

Tourists to Huatulco will never have a dull moment with plenty of attractions around. Visitors will be spoilt with choice of over 36 pristine beaches ideal for swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, sunbathing and fishing. Among the bays Tangolunda bay with Playa Arrocito-a hidden cove, an eighteen hole golf course and a secluded beach is the most sought after. Tourists can enjoy both golf holiday and beach holiday at the Tangolunda bay. Other bays are Santa Cruz, Chahue, Cacaluta, Chachacual, San Augustin, Organo and Maquey.  

Puerto Escondido and Puerto Angel are two scenic resort towns nearby with beaches popular among surfers. A trip to La Crucecita Village will give tourists a chance to see colonial buildings, Mexican sculptures, enjoy a walk through its tree lined roads and interact with the villagers. The pre-Hispanic trade centre Santa Maria Huatulco nearby has an 18th century cathedral, coffee plantations, and a local market. Tourists can get handicraft items from the small community shops located in these small towns. Visitors can also make a trip to the vibrant Oaxaca city during Huatulco holiday.      

Tours to various coffee plantations add colour to Huatulco holiday since visitors will get a chance to see waterfalls, ravens and the renowned butterfly sanctuary housing a huge variety of butterflies. The Eco Park in Huatulco has contemporary structures surrounded by untouched nature with waterfalls, rivers, rough mountains and green valleys. Night life is not very active in Huatulco but certain resorts have facilities for its visitors to enjoy dance and music.
