Gzira Holidays

Gzira is a town in the Island of Malta located on its north eastern coast. The town of Gzira is nestled between the towns of Msida and Sliema. The town of Gzira is named after Manoel Island which is situated adjacent to it. 'Gzira' in Maltese is island. The seafront town, Gzira is known for its yacht marina and Embassy Row and the view it provides of the illuminated walled city of Valletta at night.

Enchanting Gzira

The suburban town of Gzira sits on Marsamxett Harbor. The strategic position of Gzira allows it to play host to tourists to resorts located in the north east coast as well as to the capital city of Malta, Valletta. The seafront promenade begins in Gzira and stretches through the resorts of St Julian's and Sliema running many kilometres in its course. Gzira offers stunning visuals of the fortified city of Valletta and its wall. The Manoel Island located adjacent to Gzira, houses the grant Fort Manoel belonging to the 18th century. The tourist resort of Sliema is at a walking distance along the coastal promenade from Gzira. Sliema is home to many upmarket hotels, rocky beach and waterfront cafés. Tourists from Gzira can shop at the extensive shopping avenues and dine at the up scale bars and restaurants at Sliema. 

General Etiquette in Gzira

Gratuity and tipping is not usually included in the bill here in Gzira. Nevertheless, it is better to verify the bill prior to making the customary 15% tip for services rendered as expected. Tipping is not usually practised in bars while a 10% tip is usual for taxis.
