Gran Canaria has its share of some very good restaurants and local food joints. One can find Canarian fish preparations and meat delicacies topped with Canarian sauces, confectionaries and Spanish beer at almost all restaurants in Gran Canaria. That apart, there are few places in the Playa del Ingles, San Agustin, La Palmas, and Playa del Cura areas that combine a delectable Spanish fare with Greek, English and Italian cuisines.
Of these, special mention should be made of the Greek Taverna’s traditional Greek dishes, San Remo’s Italian spread, and Tapas Tango and Grill’s Canarian meals in Playa del Ingles. San Agustin’s El Capitan restaurant above the beach and Lippo's restaurant are also worth mentioning for their inexpensive but delicious snacks and main course. For a unique dining experience, the Tagoror cave restaurant, located at the end of Barranco de Guayadeque, is a must. Stone tables and seats carved from the cave, and amazingly delicious Canarian food accompanying, this restaurant is one-of-a-kind.
