Funchal Weather

Funchal holidays offer splendid subtropical climate with mild winters and warm summers. The average temperature is around 22C all through the year. The climate in Funchal is milder when compared to Portugal mainland due to mountains that surround it. Funchal holidays are a year round activity and there are no extremes of climate. Summer months are from July to September and the conditions are ideal for swimming. The water is the coolest in March when temperature dips to about 16C. There are rains from October through May and March is the wettest month. Winter begins in December and continues till early March. Temperature during the winter months is between 15C to 20C.
