Fuencaliente Restaurants and dining

The rich volcanic soil and warm climate of Fuencaliente is ideal for viniculture, and makes it a major wine producing region in La Palma. Home to the oldest winery in La Palma, Fuencaliente’s Bodegas churns out great tasting white and red wines. The most famous of these is the Teneguia, a sweet heavy wine that makes its way to a Canarian menu in almost all local and resort restaurants and bars.

Fuencaliente, like most other Canarian towns, specializes in a diverse Spanish and indigenous cuisine. Fish, pork and cheese are regularly consumed and served around Fuencaliente’s restaurants. Canarian grilled vegetables, home-made soups, and local meat preparations topped with hot, spicy sauces are also high on the list of favorites.

There are some European restaurants and cafes in Fuencaliente, serving light English snacks and Italian pizzas and pastas. Around the beach area, one can spot various bars and pubs serving a range of drinks and cocktails.
