Florence How To Get There

The old parts of the city are not meant for heavy traffic and you will seldom see a big vehicle. You best mean s of transportation in this part can be a bicycle. It is easy to carry and tourist attractions are not separated far off.

To travel to other parts of the city or outskirts, you can hop in a bus. Tickets and passes can be purchased from tobacco vendors, bars and newsstands. Buses travel only on the main streets and one has to use the feet to reach the interiors of the city. Taxis also constitute good means of transportation, but they are expensive. The compact nature of the city endorses the idea of travelling on foot or bicycles and scooters.
