Famagusta Weather

Famagusta boasts a bright, sunny coastline. The sun beats down on the Mediterranean coast at least 10 hours during summers, allowing plenty of time to sunbathe and enjoy the warm seawater. Average temperatures between the months of May and October range from 27C to 30C; sometime rising by several degrees due to the hot Sirocco winds. Generally however, the heat is tempered by the cool sea breezes, leaving visitors with hot, but not too hot weather to enjoy.

Summer is followed by a quick autumn in November. Winter settles by mid-December, followed by very cold temperatures in January. Spring, between end of February and April, is usually a wonderful time to visit Famagusta.
