Famagusta Restaurants and dining

Beaches in Famagusta have nice promenades lined with restaurants, cafes and bars. Anything from Turkish seafood dishes to European and Asian delicacies can be found by the beach. There are also plenty of drink outlets serving local and international beer and wine, cocktails and fruit juices. A little inland from most beaches, you will find a range of small take-away food shops, and several local eateries offering Turkish rice, fish and meat preparations.

The ancient Roman city of Salamis is not just Famagusta’s most prominent historical site, but also the seat of numerable excellent food plazas. Notable restaurants in Salamis include the Akdeniz Mediterranean restaurant and the Petek for quality self-catering. The Eyva tavern, located in Yeni Boğaziçi, is a popular local haunt. This Cyrpiot style hotel serves delicious Turkish mezes, kebabs, and fresh fish dishes. Along the Salamis Road, you will also find Famagusta’s oldest pub, the Erich’s Pub.
