Famagusta Attractions and Activities

Beyond the city limits, Famagusta has several fantastic beaches. Most beaches in the Karpaz Peninsula, located on the northern most tip of the island, are still unspoiled by commercialization. Sparsely crowded, these beaches offer visitors many secluded spots for private picnics, family fun and relaxing hours of sunbathing. The hotel accommodations along the beaches are generally excellent; the numerable restaurants and bars bordering the coastline offer mouthwatering local and international dishes. The old town of Famagusta also houses many ancient bazaars and authentic cafes. The new city is a bustling place and a major commercial centre.
