El Gouna Weather

El Gouna enjoys sunny weather and average summer temperatures of 29ºC throughout May and June. July to September is usually hot and dry and day temperatures often rise to 40ºC or higher. Evenings, although still warm, are comparably cooler and breezy making it the ideal time to walk along the beach. Summers enjoy 10 hours of sunshine and clear skies that make it ideal for sunbathers. Nights can be chilly however.

Winters last between December to February and enjoys 7 hours of sunshine. Day temperatures rarely go below 20ºC or above 25ºC. The water temperature remains placid and perfectly suitable for bathing.

The ideal months to visit El Gouna are April and November, before summers and winters set in their extremes.
