EL Gouna is located on the Red Sea Coast, 22kms north of the Hurghada International Airport. Easily accessible from Europe, flights to Hurghada take less than 5 hours. Most major airlines in the Middle East and Europe run scheduled flights to Hurghada, while EgyptAir Express, a subsidiary of the domestic EgyptAir, fly from Cairo, Sharm-El Sheikh, Luxor, Alexandria, Assiut and Aswan to Hurghada, weekly.
If you are already in Cairo, you can reach Hurghada by bus in approximately 7 hours, and then take a taxi or rent a car to El Gouna. El Gouna is also a stopover railway station on your way to Hurghada from Cairo.
El Gouna has 3 major town areas: El Gouna downtown, Abu Tig Marina and Tamr Henna Square. Neighborhoods are connected through a network of canals and stone bridges and cab services are easily available. You can also take a ferry ride across the lagoon or avail bus services by the Sidi Gaber or El Gouna Bus Station, which provide regular, hourly take offs.
