Dubai offers you a unique holiday destination with its mix of captivating Middle East culture and several luxury hotels that feature spectacular architectural design and spotless beaches. Though it is among the world’s modern cities, its heart is very much rooted in the shifting sands of the Arabian Desert where visitors on Dubai holidays can experience an amazing night at an oasis like countless desert residents before them, witness a beautiful falcon swooping for the kill or enjoy thrilling desert motor sports. Jumeirah Road is famous for its soft white sand private beaches as well as some with public access. Hotel beaches charge daily rates but are well maintained and offer luxury amenities.
The city has two excellent golf courses that offer beautiful club houses and fairways to visitors on Dubai holidays. The Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club and the older Emirates Golf Club offer a delightful golfing experience, with the latter hosting the annual European PGA Desert Classic.
Getting there
Dubai International Airport (IATA: DXB) is hub to Emirates Airline and served over 37 million passengers in 2008. Its third terminal opened in 2008 and is designed to fully support the massive Airbus A380. The city’s bus system is efficient with about 70 routes and is a good option on your Dubai holidays, especially in the cooler months. Dubai’s organised taxi system remains its most popular means of public transport with over 7,500 taxis providing reliable services to residents and people on holidays to Dubai.
Weather
Temperatures are pleasant from January to March and that is when most visitors from Europe throng the beaches on holidays to Dubai. Temperatures easily exceed 40 °C during the summer months whereas rainfall is usually light.

In recent years, the tremendous success of Jebel Ali free zone has inspired other free zones such as Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City bringing shoppers from across the world on holidays to buy duty-free merchandise. Ambitious projects such as The Palm Islands, Burj Dubai and The World Islands have been at the helm of its private real estate boom and have contributed to Dubai becoming a popular cheap holidays option. The 818 Meter Burj Dubai (The Burj Khalifa after completion) skyscraper, now officially the tallest manmade structure ever built, is a very popular spot for tourists on Dubai holidays with a Georgio Armani hotel. Dubai's beaches are amongst the most developed in the world but still provide that feeling of nature and gorgeous views as you'd expect on a Fuerteventura holiday perhaps.
