Although Fuerteventura receives holidaymakers from all parts of Europe, including Berlin, Frankfurt, Italy" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Italy">Milan, Vienna, Madrid, Zürich, Brussels, Bristol, Liverpool, Luxembourg, Bologna, Glasgow, and Munich, Costa Calma sees a large concentration of German tourists and few English vacationers.
The island of Fuerteventura is served by the Fuerteventura Airport, located at El Mattoral, 5km southwest to Fuerteventura’s capital Puerto del Rosario. Fuerteventura Airport handles charter flights to and from the island to most European countries and the neighboring Canary Islands.
There are a couple of regular flights from London. The EasyJet flies from London-Stansted. Flights from London-Gatwick, London-Luton, and London-Stansted are serviced by the Thomas Cook Airlines and Thomson Airways. The Binter Canarias and Islas Airways serve flights between Fuerteventura, Las Palmas and Tenerife-North.
Costa Calma is located 80kms from airport. It takes approximately 2 hours to reach the resort by car, easily hired or rented from the airport. Bus services are also available.
