Costa Caleta has excellent weather. Wind conditions are ideal for windsurfing, and the warm sea water, its wealth of marine life, attracts many scuba divers and snorkelers. There are also boat trips available further into the sea where, visitors can spot whales and dolphins, and also do some fishing.
Costa Caleta’s town is also known as Caleta de Fuste. The town’s major attraction is its palm tree-lined main street, which houses the majority of the accommodations and food joints of this resort town. Close to it is the Costa Caleta harbor, home to many species of fish that are an instant favorite with children. The harbor also houses the Oceanarium and its collection of many wonderful sea creatures. A little walk from the beach leads to Costa Caleta’s shopping village at Pueblo Majorero.
