Cesme is home to some of the renowned beaches in the region, namely Alacati, Altinkum and Pirlanta Plaj. The weather and wind conditions in Cesme are suitable for a range of water sports including windsurfing (Alacati beach is popular for windsurfing) and kite-boarding. You can also enjoy leisurely boat rides along the Turkish coast – Cesme also has a ferry service from Cesme to Venice. The historical sites and villages around Cesme along with the numerous secluded bays and thermal pools are simply fantastic. For a dose of history, visit the Cesme Castle which now houses a museum. From Cesme, you can undertake an excursion to the ancient Roman city of Ephesus.
